Tax Litigation

Our tax controversy and dispute lawyers handle a broad range of federal, state and local tax related matters, including negotiating the scope of tax audits, formulating responses to information requests from the Internal Revenue Service and state and local tax authorities, responding to and contesting summonses and obtaining private letter rulings. We have represented publicly and privately owned entities, high net worth individuals and trusts and estates seeking to resolve a wide range of sophisticated tax disputes at the administrative level and have represented clients before the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and in other federal and state tax tribunals. We regularly work with the lawyers in the Firm’s other practice groups to make certain that the tax aspects of any litigation or contested issue are considered.
