Small Firm's Full Roster of Attorneys Moves to Warshaw Burstein

05/10/2024
The transition is not technically a merger, as Brady Klein & Weissman will still operate as an LLP for fee collections.

In April, the founding partners of the small law firm Brady Klein & Weissman—which has a core business in real estate, matrimonial and trusts and estates—announced that it “no longer made sense” for it to continue operations at its present location in Midtown Manhattan.

All five of the firm’s partners—Margaret Brady, Mitchell Klein, Steven Weissman, Lawrence Kotik and John DelGrosso— have since joined up with Warshaw Burstein, a 60-attorney firm also based in Manhattan.

Though Warshaw Burstein is hiring the smaller firm’s full roster, the transition is not technically a merger—Brady Klein & Weissman will still operate as an LLP for fee collections, managing partner Frederick Cummings said in an interview.

“This team further strengthens our ability to service our clients in the areas of family law, trusts and estates, and real estate,” Cummings said in a firm statement. “We are pleased they are making the move to Warshaw Burstein. The addition of these well-seasoned attorneys enhances our ability to provide clients with exceptional legal services and advances our growth strategies to serve both businesses and individuals throughout the New York metropolitan, national and international areas.”

Brady, a matrimonial partner, said in the release that the move will be “a seamless transition for our clients” and noted that they will be able to provide them with a longer menu of services by being part of a larger firm.
