Jason Diener Joins Warshaw Burstein as Chair of Tax Group and Partner in Corporate and Securities Group

Warshaw Burstein today announced Jason I. Diener has joined the firm as partner and chair of the Tax Group and partner in the Corporate and Securities Group.

Mr. Diener most recently served as special counsel in the corporate and securities and tax groups at Windels Marx.

Mr. Diener advises clients in various industries on a variety of commercial business matters, including planning considerations regarding M&A transactions, corporate and tax aspects of joint ventures, and state and local tax issues.

He counsels companies and individuals regarding all aspects of the international tax rules, including Subpart F, PFICs, FATCA and FBAR compliance issues and tax treaties.

He also will advise on tax matters in the firm’s real estate, trusts and estates, matrimonial, immigration, intellectual property and litigation groups.

Mr. Diener served as a clerk in the U.S. Tax Court in Washington, D.C. He earned his B.A. magna cum laude from Brandeis University, his J. D. from Boston University School of Law cum laude, an M.B.A. from Boston University School of Management, and his LLM in Tax from New York University School of Law.
