Slava Hazin, a Partner in the Real Estate Litigation Group, was a guest on Molly Tschang's popular podcast "Say it Skillfully" on the Voice America Business Channel. Slava talked about growing up in Russia and emigrating with his family to Italy, Israel and then New York, and how his experiences shaped him and his career as a lawyer and a problem-solver.

He also discussed his practice at Warshaw Burstein, and shared his advice on getting opposing parties to resolve conflicts, particularly in real estate disputes. One of the key elements, he says, is to get two sides to talk to each other and find out what their interests, concerns and problems really are.

When it comes to building better relationships in your building or your neighborhood: "Neighbors who know each other are nicer to each other."

And his final advice: "If you want to make the world better, make it better where you live."
