Martin S. Siegel
Partner
Mr. Siegel is a partner in our firm’s litigation department. He focuses on complex commercial, business, securities and bankruptcy litigations. Mr. Siegel has litigated cases in more than a dozen jurisdictions around the country in various federal and state courts and arbitration forums, on matters related to breach of contract, securities, bankruptcy, partnership and employment disputes, restrictive covenants, real estate, insurance, medical and dental products and intellectual property.
Mr. Siegel has prosecuted claims involving securities fraud, mergers and acquisitions, Ponzi schemes and other securities-related issues on behalf of institutional and other sophisticated investors, and defended public companies and stock brokerage firms, and their officers and directors, in securities class actions and related matters. He has represented witnesses and targets in SEC and FTC investigations and proceedings, respondents and claimants in FINRA and AAA arbitrations and Audit committees of public companies in internal investigations under Sarbanes-Oxley. He regularly litigates a broad range of bankruptcy matters on behalf of unsecured creditors, equity holders and debtors, including fraudulent conveyance, preference and lender liability issues.Mr. Siegel also acts as outside general counsel to a number of public and private companies with respect to corporate, securities and business matters.
