Samuel R. Marchese Joins Warshaw Burstein as Partner in the Real Estate Group
06/17/2025New York – June 2025 Warshaw Burstein, LLP is pleased to announce Samuel R. Marchese has joined the firm as a partner in the Real Estate Group.
He was most previously a partner at BurgherGray, LLP.
“Sam’s deep experience with New York State and New York City rent regulatory law will complement the focus areas of the attorneys in our robust real estate group,” said Managing Partner, Frederick R. Cummings, Jr. “We look forward to his contributions to the firm, particularly further expanding our services in this core practice area for us.”
Mr. Marchese provides timely strategic counsel on complex matters involving rent regulation, tax incentives, regulatory due diligence reviews (including in connection with the acquisition or financing of property and Article 78 Proceedings). He also represents clients in proceedings before state and local administrative bodies, including the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal, New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, New York State Supreme Court, and U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Before joining Warshaw Burstein, Mr. Marchese managed substantial real estate portfolios, led high-value transactions, and provided insight through seminars attended by over 500 industry professionals.
Mr. Marchese earned a B.A., Ramapo College of New Jersey, 2009 cum laude, and a J.D. from the Duquesne University School of Law, 2014.
