Warshaw Burstein Promotes Corporate Attorney Steve Semian to Equity Partner

Warshaw Burstein, LLP today announced that Steve Semian has been promoted to Equity Partner and Maxwell J. Rubin has been promoted to Counsel.

Mr. Semian is an experienced corporate and transactional lawyer whose practice encompasses a broad range of matters, including commercial lending, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate and business counseling.

He advises start-ups and established businesses on a full range of corporate matters, including structuring, formation, governance, employment and separation agreements and securities law compliance. Mr. Semian has represented leaders in the generic pharmaceutical industry, lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured financing transactions, and has served as issuer’s counsel in both initial and secondary public offerings and private placements of debt and equity securities. In addition, he has represented both buyers and sellers in connection with the acquisition, sale and registration of private aircraft and yachts and private art sales.

Mr. Rubin focuses his practice on all aspects of commercial, construction, employment, and real estate litigation.

Mr. Rubin represents major construction companies, design professionals, restaurants, hotels, and real estate brokers. He has conducted several trials before the New York State and New York Federal courts. He has successfully litigated and arbitrated commercial contract disputes as well as damage and delay claims. Mr. Rubin has represented general contractors, subcontractors and project and business owners in prevailing wage cases and union benefit disputes. Mr. Rubin also regularly drafts and reviews construction and design contracts for major construction projects, hotel build outs and restaurant designs.
