Warshaw Burstein Welcomes Its 2026 Summer Intern Class

Please join us in welcoming our 2026 summer interns to the firm.

Michelle Chen (St. John’s University School of Law, Class of 2027) – Associate Managing Editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review, Senior Staff Member of the Commercial Division Online Law Report, and an active member of several student organizations. This isn’t Michelle’s first time with us—we’re so excited to have her back! Her professional background includes experience as a Corporate and Securities Paralegal at a global law firm, a Legal Intern at an investment management firm, a Legal Extern at a publicly traded international fast-casual restaurant chain, and a Compliance Intern at a global financial services company.

Noah Pellen (The George Washington University Law School, Class of 2028) – Co-founder and Director of Communications for the GW Law AI Forum and Treasurer of the Jewish Law Students Association, with interests in Mergers and Acquisitions, Securities, and Capital Markets. We are thrilled to have Noah back with us! His background reflects a unique blend of law, business, and innovation. He served as a Judicial Intern at the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, studied International Business abroad in Milan, and previously ran an independent record label.

Sean Semon (Fordham University School of Law, Class of 2027) – Sean brings substantial hands-on legal experience to the firm, having served as a Legal Extern in the Financial Crimes Bureau at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and as a Legal Intern in the Municipal Law Department at the Suffolk County Attorney’s Office. Prior to law school, he spent nearly three years as a paralegal handling Real Estate and Trusts and Estates matters.

Ira Scheer (Georgetown Law, Class of 2027) – Executive Editor of the American Criminal Law Review. Ira’s professional background reflects a deep commitment to litigation and courtroom advocacy. He served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Judge Christy Criswell Wiegand at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and has completed multiple terms as a Law Clerk with the Delaware Office of Defense Services. Ira has also excelled in trial advocacy competitions, earning Semi-Finalist honors in the 2026 John L. Costello National Trial Advocacy Competition and winning the 2025 Georgetown Law Greenhalgh Competition.

Jessica Wagner (University of Connecticut, Class of 2025) – Jessica’s background spans legal, nonprofit, and community-focused work. She previously served as a Legal Intern at Dubin Research and Consulting and as a Development Intern at My Sisters’ Place NY, where she shadowed attorneys in court on custody and immigration matters. She also participated in The Lex Fellowship, a pre-law immersive program based in Barcelona. Jessica holds a B.A. in Political Science and Government from the University of Connecticut.

Sanjana Kulkarni (Cardozo School of Law, Class of 2027) – Dean’s Merit Scholar and former recipient of the Next Genius Full Tuition Scholarship at Wheaton College, Massachusetts. Sanjana’s professional background spans policy research and legal services, including serving as a student mediator at the Divorce Mediation Clinic at Cardozo School of Law, internships with Family Legal Care, the Massachusetts Trial Court, and Children of Prisoners Europe, as well as a position as a Research Assistant at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

What truly sets this group apart is the breadth of their experiences. From AI innovation and policy research to financial compliance, courtroom advocacy, and community-focused nonprofit work, our 2026 intern class reflects the evolving landscape of the legal profession and the forward-thinking talent it demands.
