Mr. Mandel has a robust practice in the areas of family law, divorce litigation, child custody disputes and complex financial issues in matrimonial cases.

He is driven by a desire to help people navigate some of the most stressful and emotionally charged moments of their lives

Through years of experience, Mr. Mandel has learned that the key to effective representation is to listen to clients and collaboratively develop a personalized strategy based on the clients’ goals, needs and concerns. In the courtroom he exudes preparation, confidence, adaptability and the ability to read the room. As an Early Neutral Evaluator he volunteers to help families in court resolve complex matters efficiently and, whenever possible, without the need for trial.

Because of his extensive experience with complex financial and valuation matters in high-net worth divorces, Mr. Mandel was invited to join the Advisory Board of the American Academy of Certified Financial Litigators, where he continues to serve.

For the third time in January, 2026, he was selected by his peers to be the Co-Chair of the New York County Lawyer’s Association Matrimonial Section.

Mr. Mandel summarizes his outlook to his practice in a single quote:

“I don’t want a lawyer to tell me what I cannot do, I hire him to tell me how to do what I want to do.” – J.P. Morgan
