Mr. Seiden has extensive experience representing property owners whose properties are subject to various affordable housing programs and tax credit programs. His clients include large and small private and not-for-profit property owners and management companies, cooperative and condominium boards, and HDFCs.
He is an experienced litigator and a skillful trial attorney who specializes in all facets of residential and commercial landlord-tenant litigation. Mr. Seiden has successfully litigated numerous types of cases including non-payment proceedings, holdover proceedings involving nonprimary residence, nuisance, illegal use, illegal alterations, breach of lease, short-term rentals, failure to provide access, as well as defending owners against harassment, discrimination, overcharge and improper deregulation claims.
Mr. Seiden counsels landlords, owners and management companies in the legal aspects of the daily management of their properties. His goal is to find practical solutions that meet his client's business strategies and goals. He is a go-to resource for owners navigating the ever-changing rent laws in New York. He has been published or quoted in many of the industry trade publications and is a former member of the New York City Bar's Housing Court Committee.
