Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her extraordinary contribution to protecting and upholding the rights of women, were the subject of a special evening hosted by Warshaw Burstein, LLP, in partnership with The Coalition of Women's Initiatives in Law.

The audience was treated to an exclusive screening of the soon-to-be released biographical drama, On the Basis of Sex, followed by a discussion with Daniel Stiepleman, film’s writer who is also the Ginsburg’s nephew and Kathleen Peratis, friend and women’s rights advocate.

The film stars Felicity Jones, Armie Hammer, Justin Theroux, Jack Reynor, Cailee Spaeny, Sam Waterston, and Kathy Bates, and was directed by Mimi Leder.

Immediately following the screening, Sophie Jacobi-Parisi, Warshaw Burstein Matrimonial Group partner, kicked off a discussion of the film and its messages.

The audience was treated to personal stories about Justice Ginsburg, the inspirational and loving relationship between the Ginsburgs and how Dan was inspired to write this movie in 2010, after hearing the story about the only case that his aunt and uncle argued together during their marriage.
