Kristin G. Garris is a member of the intellectual property practice group at Warshaw Burstein, LLP, and works with a broad range of clients – start-ups, growing businesses, mature businesses, artists, and entrepreneurs – on trademark, copyright, and licensing issues, including prosecution, enforcement, transactional, and corporate matters.

She counsels clients on numerous intellectual property issues, including IP ownership and protection, trademark enforcement and litigation, clearance and portfolio management, registration strategies, branding procedures, copyright protection and litigation, licensing, domain names, privacy policies and website terms of use, IP-related risk management, IP due diligence, IP issues in asset purchase and employment agreements, data privacy regulations, and more. She also has significant experience with opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Kristin represents clients across a variety of industries, including: retail; consumer goods; e-commerce; food and beverage; fashion and luxury goods; financial services and wealth management; hospitality and travel; technology and software; manufacturing; and arts and entertainment.
