09/24/2021
Syracuse University College of Law Graduate Aubre Dean L’20 brings her passion for constitutional law to a promising career as a litigation attorney.

At the College of Law, Dean discovered a supportive community of faculty and peers, and her passion for civil rights law.  Funded by an alumni grant, Dean spent her 1L summer interning for a federal district court judge and was able to meet Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor as an intern in the Sonia and Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program.

“At Syracuse Law, there’s an emphasis not only on learning but also on giving back to the community and to those who need assistance.”  —Aubre Dean L’20

After Dean graduated, she passed the bar exam and joined Warshaw Burstein LLP in New York City. Dean is now gaining litigation experience in a wide range of areas of law. She has particularly appreciated being able to assist clients with their Title VII and Title IX lawsuits, handling cases involving discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion or sex. As a first-generation college and law graduate, Dean is working to make the legal profession more accessible through her commitment to mentoring first-generation law students.
