Alan M. Pollack
Partner
Mr. Pollack is a partner in the firm's litigation department. His practice focuses on federal and state court commercial and civil litigation, including business disputes, partnership dissolutions, class and shareholder derivative actions, stock fraud and manipulation cases, wage and hour and labor and employment matters. Mr. Pollack has represented clients in several industries, including securities, construction, manufacturing and health care.
Mr. Pollack has extensive experience representing companies and individuals who have been victimized by market manipulation, naked short-selling, and other forms of securities fraud. He has successfully litigated securities fraud cases in several federal and state courts against broker-dealers, market-makers and investment banks.Mr. Pollack also has considerable experience prosecuting and defending class actions, particularly in labor and employment matters arising under Section 220 of the New York Labor Law, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and federal and state securities laws. He has been appointed class counsel in over twenty class actions to recover unpaid wages and supplemental benefits owed to workers on publicly financed projects. In addition, he has counseled and defended companies that are the subject of labor, wage and hour, and enforcement actions by federal, state and city governmental agencies.
