Kimberly C. Lau and Warshaw Burstein Team's $5.3mm Jury Verdict Featured in Inside Higher Ed

Lau, partner and chair of the firm’s Title IX and College Discipline Practice, and her team obtained a unanimous jury verdict for their client, Andrew Pampu, in defamation and civil conspiracy claims against defendants resulting in an award of $5.3mm following a week-long jury trial in South Carolina.
The case was featured in an article in the higher education publication, Inside Higher Ed. "Righting an Old Wrong" used the verdict to discuss how a case like this can affect the future of Title IX and will surely be examined by colleges and universities across the country.
